Work begin on Tall Grass Ridge

Grand Pointe Homes announces the start of construction on Tall Grass Ridge, a development of 43 single-family homes. Located in an established neighborhood near downtown Mundelein, 16 of the community's homes will back to a wetland.

Tall Grass will offer tradition with a twist. It's a community of three- or four-bedroom homes with formal living rooms, formal dining rooms, master baths, two-story family rooms, enhanced kitchens, and sized from 2,727 to 3,552 square feet. Prices range from the $440,000's to the low $500,000's.

"Our living areas are designed to provide families with space and privacy," says Scott Ballard, vice president of sales and marketing of Grand Pointe Homes. "Room layouts -- such as a kitchen/dinette connecting to the family room -- also promote interaction and togetherness."

While the community's six models are traditional homes, they feature touches that give them a contemporary feel, including art niches, a bridge that connects a two-story foyer and family room, columns separating a dining room and living room, a master suite with sitting room, an octagonal breakfast area, turret-style dinette, private shower and toilet areas, studies and master suites with double-door entryways and arched openings.

Grand Pointe offers upgrades such as bay windows, skylights, built-in entertainment centers, lofts, extra bedrooms, cathedral ceilings in master bedrooms, three-car garages, and platform tubs in master baths.

Exteriors can feature covered entries, front porches, shutters and coordinating trim, archways, coach lights, and decorative windows such as transoms, half-rounds, and palladians. Each floor plan offers exterior variations with a variety of colors and materials, including brick, siding and stucco.

To see a model of Tall Grass, take I-294 to Grand Avenue, exit and head west to the sales center, which is located two blocks east of Route 83. For more information about the homes, visit www.grandpointehomes.com.
