Carpentersville
• An Elgin man who failed to appear in court June 11 was arrested Wednesday, police said. Charles W. Tucker, 59, of 334 Raymond St., was facing an assault charge, police said. Tucker was held in the Carpentersville lockup on $300 bond with a Sept. 27 court date in Elgin.
• A wanted Carpentersville man was arrested Wednesday, police said. Carlos Gutierrez, 39, of 3014 Wakefield Drive, was charged on the warrant with drunken driving, police said. Gutierrez was held in the Carpentersville lockup on $500 bond with a Sept. 28 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
Elgin
• An Elgin woman was arrested Wednesday on drug charges, police said. Charlotte Tribble, 25, of 313 Kathleen Drive, Apt. 6, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance within 100 feet of a park, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, police said. Tribble was held in the Kane County jail on $35,000 bond with a Sept. 28 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• Burglars stole a pearl 1940s-era necklace, four gold chains, eight bracelets, one set of earrings, pins from India and loose change in excess of a total of $8,000 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from a home on the 700 block of West Highland Avenue.
• A silver 2008 Hyundai was stolen Tuesday from an auto dealership on the 800 block of East Chicago Street. The vehicle was recovered in DuPage County, but police did not know its condition.
South Elgin
• A laptop computer and a digital camera together worth $1,600 were reported stolen on Wednesday from an apartment on the 1500 block of North LaFox Street.
