The key word to remember is choice

As a resident of South Elgin, I support Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area, and I am glad they are opening a new, full-service health facility in Aurora. Despite the fact that Aurora and the surrounding cities are growing, reproductive health care options have not kept pace with this growth. Women need a convenient, trusted place to go to receive comprehensive, quality services. Planned Parenthood is filling that need. It is extremely important to remember Planned Parenthood is not just about abortion. It is about choice.

I would support an office opening in South Elgin. It is imperative our young people are educated and receive counseling -- not just on abortion or birth control but legal, safe adoption processes.

Too many unwanted children are growing up in a state welfare system without the appropriate stability, guidance and nurturing needed to become a productive, happy member of society. At this point in time, I do not see pro-life proponents offering to feed, clothe and properly educate those children. Education and Planned Parenthood is a good choice.
