Planned Parenthood helps stop abortions
As a pro-choice advocate I support Planned Parenthood in the Chicago area and I am glad they are opening a new, full-service health facility in Aurora.
It is a fact that abortions can be ended through aggressive use of contraception and sex education. You can't kill someone who doesn't exist. It is the pro-life side that helps ensure that abortions are performed because they fight not to save lives but to stop people from accessing contraceptives, including morning-after drugs. The pro-life side simply can't accept that people have sex and because they don't like that idea, they try to limit the availability of the very thing that would prevent abortions from ever being desired or necessary.
It is time to face the facts that people will fall in love, or lust, and have sex. The worst thing we can do is to force a person to be created and then force people to decide whether they want that person. Help ensure that every baby is wanted and help stop creating people who already don't exist by making reproductive care and education available.
Women need a convenient, trusted place to go to receive comprehensive, quality services. Planned Parenthood is filling that need.
