Palatine to talk business
A committee formed through the Palatine Village Council will start talking to local business owners about how they can better be served. Councilman Scott Lamerand will lead the committee, which will meet in early October with downtown Palatine businesses about how to better promote the area and what changes are needed. After that, meetings will take place with business owners on the Northwest Highway corridor, Rand and Dundee Road corridor, the manufacturing district and other smaller retail centers in local neighborhoods. "We're able to quantify what we do for residents, and we want to do the same for businesses," said Lamerand. Officials hope that going through the business areas one by one will better target the results.
