Oak Crest dishes up the dogs for annual fundraiser

Oak Crest Residence, providing service options for mature adults, celebrates its 103rd anniversary with its second annual hot dog lunch fundraiser, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Oak Crest's drive-in patio will be open to serve a delicious hot dog box lunch. Chef JP will prepare your hot dog on the grill, and assistants will add the trimmings.

You can participate in three ways: join residents on the patio and enjoy your lunch in the backyard; order your lunch and pick it up; or order early and your lunch will be delivered to your home or office.

The $6 hot dog box lunch includes a large, all-beef premium hot dog, grilled by the chef, tenderly placed in a soft bun wrapped to stay warm, and placed in a box with trimmings, pickle, tomato slice, lettuce and condiments. Homemade potato salad and a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie for dessert are included. Cost is $6.

For questions and orders, call Marlene at (847) 742-2255. Oak Crest Residence is at 204 S. State St. (Route 31) in Elgin.
