Local group asks teens to design logo

Marengo Main Street Inc. is holding an art contest to develop a logo for its new organization, with a $100 cash prize going to the winner. The winning design will be unveiled during Settlers Days' "Saturday Night on Main Street" celebration on Oct. 6.

High school-aged residents of Marengo and Union are invited to submit their designs in either traditional or electronic format.

Deadline for submissions is Sept. 28. Entries will be judged by the executive committee of Marengo Main Street Inc.
