Last units for sale at Breckenridge

The final homes, including three decorated models, are available at Breckenridge in Shorewood.

Located near the intersection of Black and River Roads, Breckenridge offers three floor plans measuring 2,190 to 2,500 square feet. The two-story homes come with four bedrooms, 2½ baths, basements and attached two-car garages. Homes are priced from $271,990 to $286,990.

Buyers who purchase the decorated models at Breckenridge can opt to include all furniture, window treatments and artwork for an additional $20,000.

"All that's left to do is move in and start enjoying them right away," said Leigh Nevers, vice president of marketing for Lennar's Chicago region.

All homes have 9-foot first-floor ceilings; kitchens with GE appliances, storage pantries, recessed can lighting and 36-inch maple cabinets with roll-out trays; and master baths with ceramic tile, dual-bowl vanities and separate shower and tub.

The models are decorated to highlight the distinguishing features of each floor plan. For example, the 2,221-square-foot McKenzie opens to a two-story living room with two tiers of windows and an adjoining dining room that is demarcated by formal columns. The separate areas are further distinguished by contrasting paint colors in tones of green and cream.

Upstairs, two of the McKenzie's four bedrooms are decorated for children. One is geared toward a sports enthusiast and features a Chicago Bulls theme. The other is a nursery with a custom nursery-rhyme wall mural and pink and green accents. A third bedroom is a guest room with a sophisticated gold color scheme.

Another for-sale model features the 2,500-square-foot Avalon, the largest floor plan at Breckenridge. Nevers said a notable feature of the home is its open kitchen and family room, where five large windows let in plentiful light.

"The windows make this a very inviting space, and our designers added to that ambiance by using warm shades like maroon, coral and gold," said Nevers.

The third for-sale model features the Geneva floor plan, a 2,190-square-foot home with a combined two-story living and dining room with two tiers of window. An eat-in kitchen at the rear of the home includes a breakfast bar and preparation island.

In addition to the three models, the final homes at Breckenridge also include five immediate-delivery homes. Three have pond views and one features an oversized home site measuring more than 9,100 square feet.

Breckenridge includes 80 single-family homes. An on-site school is scheduled to open for the 2008-2009 school year.
