No. 11 UCLA blown out by Utah
SALT LAKE CITY -- Tommy Grady threw for 3 touchdowns, Darrell Mack ran for 107 yards and Utah capitalized on a long list of mistakes by No. 11 UCLA in a 44-6 upset of the Bruins on Saturday.
Robert Johnson made 2 interceptions and forced a fumble at the 2-yard line, making what could have been a touchdown into 1 of 5 turnovers by the Bruins (2-1).
UCLA committed 10 penalties and unraveled in the second half as Utah (1-2) scored 30 straight points and beat the Bruins for the first time. Utah had been 0-8 against UCLA, which failed to score a touchdown for the first time in four years.
"There is not even enough time to discuss all the issues we had today," said UCLA coach Karl Dorrell. "We did not even play close to our potential and we were never in sync."
