Models open at Regency at the Woods

Tour two professionally decorated models debuting at Regency at The Woods of South Barrington by Toll Brothers.

Built on the grounds of the former Klehm Nursery, The Woods of South Barrington is a low-maintenance, gated enclave of 156 homes for those 55 and older. Part of a master planned community housing 392 luxury homes, prices range from the low $500,000s to more than $1 million.

Regency homeowners will enjoy a country club lifestyle with amenities including a clubhouse scheduled to open next spring. It will house a fitness center, activity rooms, locker rooms, a library with a computer center, card rooms for men and women, as well as a party room. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, bocce ball courts, shuffle board courts and a putting green.

Appointments reflected throughout every residence at Regency include crown moldings and signature millwork, enhanced kitchens and luxury baths.

Home exteriors are designed to be low-maintenance. In addition, the irrigation system, snow plowing and seasonal landscape maintenance is taken care of by a homeowners association.

Choose from five ranch home designs ranging from 2,100 to 2,400 square feet. Priced from the low $500,000s, currently one-third of the homes have been sold. Luxury features include granite counters in kitchen and baths, 9-foot ceilings and 8-foot doors, aluminum clad wood windows, hardwood floors and 8-foot full basements measuring over 2,000 square feet.

Furnished in a bright and fresh color palette of teal, taupe and chocolate brown, the Bartlett model is a three-bedroom, 2½ bath residence with an open foyer, columned dining room and spacious great room. The open great room offers a comfortable area for entertaining, the adjoining kitchen features a center island and breakfast room.

Other features include a private study with a double-door entry, a master bedroom with master bath with Roman tub, dual vanities and walk-in closet. The full basement is shown with a bowling alley, entertainment space, bar and full bath.

More formal in its design and decor is the three-bedroom, 2½-bath Waveland model. A canvas of green, gold and taupe serves as a backdrop for overstuffed furnishings and dark woods.

Highlighted by columns, the foyer flows into a formal dining room. There is also a formal living room with a window wall and two skylights.

The kitchen includes appliances. The master suite is in a private wing with a walk-in closet and a bath featuring a corner tub with adjoining vanities. A Jack-and-Jill bath two guest bedrooms.

Outside of Regency there are a few homes left in this diversified neighborhood.

Two four-bedroom homes remain in the Signature Collection. Featuring one-acre sites with three- or four-car side-entry garages and more than 3,700 square feet of living space, they are priced from the $900,000s.

The Estate Collection, featuring four-bedroom homes with up to 3½ baths on one-third- to one-half-acre sites with 3,200 to 4,500 square feet, has two homes available for quick delivery. Priced from the $800,000s, these homes showcase dual staircases, a family room with an overlook balcony and master suite with den.

The Executive Collection, priced from the mid-$600,000s, offers the choice of a two-story foyer or first-floor master bedroom. With 2,600 to 3,600 square feet, homes have four bedrooms and 2½ baths and a three-car garage. Ten homes are available for sale.
