Craig's best bet is to switch parties

Sen. Larry Craig is expected to resign from office for his lewd and perverse conduct in an airport bathroom and is desperately trying to solicit expensive legal help in rescinding his guilty plea in order to salvage his job.

Rather than facing the continued embarrassment of his actions in the media and the scorn of his fellow Republicans on the floor of the Senate, wouldn't it be easier for him to announce that he has switched parties and be hailed as a vanguard of alternative lifestyles by his new fellow Democrats?
