Carpentersville

• A Carpentersville man who has used numerous aliases was arrested at 7 p.m. Wednesday on several warrants, police said. Alexis Carmona, 23, of 170 Golfview Lane #E, was charged with obstruction of justice and cited for no driver's license, no insurance and speeding, police said. Carmona also was wanted on warrants accusing him of illegally using aliases in Carpentersville, Hoffman Estates and South Barrington with bonds totaling $1,300, police said. Carmona was held in the Kane County jail on $4,000 bond with a Sept. 28 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• A Carpentersville man was arrested late Wednesday for failing to appear in court on Sept. 6, police said. Julio Chavez, 19, of 215 Rivers View was charged on a warrant with assault, police said. Chavez was held in the Kane County jail on $500 bond with a Sept. 18 court date in Elgin.

Elgin

• A Chicago man was accused of selling 8.2 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer for $250 at 8 p.m. Wednesday on Elgin's west side, police said. Aaron C. Doss, 26, of 6445 Washtenaw Ave., was charged with possession and delivery of a controlled substance, police said. Doss also was wanted on a Kane County warrant issued June 5 for a drug offense, police said. Doss was held in the Kane County jail on bonds totaling $35,000 with a Sept. 28 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• An Elgin teen was arrested on a drug charge at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gifford and Division streets, police said. Miguel A. Hernandez, 17, of 719 Highland Ave. Apt. 5-1, was charged with possession of a fraudulent identification card, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after 1.6 grams of marijuana, a smoking pipe and a fake Illinois identification card were found, police said. Hernandez was held in the Kane County jail on $2,500 bond with a Sept. 18 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• A window on a white Ford van and saws, an air compressor, drills, extension cords and a screw gun together valued at $3,250 were stolen between 10:45 and 11 a.m. Wednesday on the 900 block of North Randall Road, police said.

• Police said they saw a Jeep go through at least two stop signs and then sped away when they tried to stop it on Hastings Street at 12:30 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle was found on the 600 block of South Liberty Street. Police placed an insurance hold on the vehicle and had it towed.

South Elgin

• A South Elgin teen was arrested on a hit-and-run charge after he struck another car at 6 p.m. Monday and drove off, police said. The victim wrote the teen's license plate number on her hand and a witness to the hit-and-run accident followed the teen's gold Saturn, police said. Josh A. LeClaire, 19, of 274 Renee Drive, was charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no windshield clearing device, police said. LeClaire was held in the Kane County jail on $3,500 bond with a Sept. 27 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• An Elgin man was accused of drunken driving after an officer saw his red 2006 Cadillac driving east on McDonald Road in the westbound lane and almost hitting three vehicles, one of them a squad car, at 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said. Kam McGavock, 46, of 996 Ascot St., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol concentration level of 0.08 percent or more, driving in the wrong lane and improper lane use, police said. McGavock posted $100 and his driver's license and has an Oct. 3 court date in Elgin.

• A storage shed was broken into and two stereos and two cordless drills together valued at $950 were stolen between 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and 4 p.m. Wednesday at All American Motors, 545 Franklin Ave. The damage to the door was estimated at $200.
