Garage sale at Elgin Training Center

The Elgin Training Center Parent and Guardian Organization will host a garage sale and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Elgin Training Center, 1135 Bowes Road in Elgin.

There will be baby clothes, children and adult clothes, books, collectibles, CDs, electronics, furniture, housewares, toys and more.

The organization provides funds to help their disabled adult children, brothers and sisters who are clients at the Elgin center, part of the Association for Individual Development.

The money raised will go toward computers, craft supplies, games, books, and therapy equipment, as well as sponsoring clients so they can attend the appreciation dinner and providing a Thanksgiving luncheon and a Christmas celebration This includes a bus for transportation and cost of the luncheon. Donations can be delivered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 17-21 at the Elgin Training Center, 1135 Bowes Road in Elgin. For details, call (847) 888-5540.
