Shopper should count her blessings
This is in response to Penny Novy's questions in the Sept. 6 Fence Post complaining about "housewives" and "retired people." Nobody owes Novy or anyone else an excuse for why they are in grocery stores or restaurants at any given time. Last time I checked this was a free country. Since Novy doesn't have any personal experience in the lifestyles of the people she criticizes, you she doesn't have the right to judge them either. If "housewives" and "retired people" as Novy puts it, are her only "complaints" in life, she should count her blessings.
Novy should be grateful she has a job and is healthy enough to work and has the opportunity to attend school to improve her quality of life. Many people are probably wishing they had Novy's life.
Or maybe not. Maybe she is one of those miserable people rushing through life, cursing at people as she cuts them off in traffic because they are in her precious way while she is yapping on her cell phone. Maybe Novy should do her shopping at 2 a.m. Maybe she should take a brown bag lunch and stay out of the restaurants.
