Kirk wasting time with search bill

So, let me get this straight: According to the Aug. 22 story "Kirk bill's focus is on student safety," Rep. Mark Kirk is working to pass a bill to allow teachers to search the locker or gym bag of a student if they suspect that there are firearms or drugs, but "teachers and school administrators already have the right"?

There may be a few other concerns that Kirk should be addressing, I would think. I'm going to have to agree with the ACLU spokesperson who was quoted saying that Kirk should concentrate on more substantive matters. If he won't, we should get someone in there who will.
