Student orchestra to benefit from used instrument sale
The Bartlett High School Orchestra will sponsor its 11th annual Used Musical Instrument Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the school's cafeteria, 701 W. Schick Road, Bartlett.
Band and orchestra instruments will be available for purchase, as well as a variety of guitars, amps and miscellaneous equipment.
"Every year, between 60 and 70 instruments are displayed, with about half of them selling during this event," said orchestra director Tom Havel. "It's a win-win situation for the buyer, seller and student orchestra."
Items will be sold on consignment, with the orchestra receiving a percentage of the proceeds. Several violins (half, three-quarter and full size) will be for sale, as well as several violas.
If you have an instrument to sell or for more information, call (630) 372-4700, ext. 4604.
