• A woman reported her purse had been stolen out of her unlocked car parked on the 1100 block of West Wilson Street about 4 p.m. Sunday.

Kane County

• Danny Meza, 28, of 326 W. Miner St., Apt. 1B, Arlington Heights, was charged with violating an order of protection after approaching and talking to a woman in the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles Township, at 8:40 a.m. Aug. 28, according to a police report. The woman had an outstanding order of protection against Meza.
