1 dead in fire on Chicago's North Side

Chicago authorities are investigating the body of a man who was found in a burning apartment building on Chicago's North Side.

Police have called the fire "suspicious" but did not release further details.

The Cook County medical examiner's office has identified the man as 39-year-old Gerald Bucknor. An autopsy is planned.

The fire started around 10:15 p.m. in an apartment building.

Authorities are now conducting a death investigation.
