Briefs: NADCA offers die casting manual

WHEELING -- The North American Die Casting Association said Wednesday it is releasing a manual to help die casters develop proposals and contracts covering the commercial specifications for buying die castings. The 16-page manual, "Commercial Practices for Die Casting Buyers," includes guidelines and checklists. The Wheeling-based association represents die casting companies.

SigmaTron sales rise 8 percent

ELK GROVE VILLAGE --SigmaTron International Inc. announced on Wednesday its quarterly revenues increased 8 percent to $39.8 million, compared to last year at the same time. Net income increased more than 200 percent to $826,984, compared to $258,670 for the same period in the prior year. The company said the increase in profitability was due to the mix of products sold. Elk Grove Village-based SigmaTron is an electronic manufacturing services firm.
