Briefs: BioSante gets FDA clarity on LibiGel

LINCOLNSHIRE -- BioSante Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Tuesday it has received clarification from and is in agreement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on key FDA requirements for the development and approval of LibiGel in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction, or hypoactive sexual desire disorder.

Walgreens rated top benefits manager

DEERFIELD -- Wilson Health Information LLC, an health-care consumer research firm in New Hope, Pa., named Walgreens Health Initiatives the highest rated pharmacy benefit manager nationally in overall member satisfaction. Eighteen major benefit managers were evaluated in the 2007 WilsonRx PBM Member Satisfaction Survey. The survey had 28,855 responses from PBM members in January. Walgreens Health Initiatives is a pharmacy benefit manager serving nearly 6 million covered lives nationwide. It is one of three PBMs to achieve certification every year since the inception of the program.
