Fall is the perfect season for planting. As air temperatures cool, soil temperatures remain warm creating ideal conditions for root growth. University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners have generously donated nearly 1,000 plants and garden "junque" from their gardens for the public to adopt for their own landscapes. Small shrubs, perennials, herbs, houseplants, and more will be available on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon (or sellout) at the Extension office at 535 S. Randall Road in St. Charles.
