Stevenson High School notes
Stevenson High School
No debate over senior skills: Senior Jordan Stone finished sixth at the National Forensics League's national championship in June, making him only the second Stevenson debater to finish in the country's top 10.
Stone's finish also qualifies him for the Tournament of Champions in Lexington, Ky., next May.
Stone was one of two Stevenson students who were among the five congressional debaters representing Illinois in Wichita.
Zoe Madigan, a member of the Class of 2007 placed 73rd among the 500 congressional debaters from around the nation.
Stone and Madigan helped lead the Stevenson debate team to a second-place finish in the state last spring.
