Inaugural Hospice Hike on Saturday

On Saturday, Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice and 95.9FM The River will host the first "Hike for Hospice: A Celebration of Life" at 9 a.m. at Blackberry Farm in Aurora.

Take a hike, remember and celebrate life while helping the hospice continue to provide free services to the community. Gather your family, friends, coworkers and neighbors for a morning of refreshments, entertainment and fun. Walk in memory of a loved one, to honor your dedication to FVVH or just to have fun. The distance of the hike is under a mile so anyone can do it.

Registration is $5 per person and includes an all-day pass to Blackberry Farm. All participants raising $50 or more will receive a 2007 "Hike for Hospice" T-shirt. Register online and start collecting pledges now at www.fvvh.org.

For information about "Hike for Hospice" or to volunteer, call Jackie Lowe at (630) 232-2233, ext. 228 or e-mail jlowe@fvvh.org.
