Country auction to raise funds for St. James

St. James Episcopal Church's third annual Country Auction will take place from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sept. 22 in the Boynton Parish Hall at the church, Washington and North Sixth streets in West Dundee.

Adults, 21 years and older, are welcome to attend. The cost is $15 per adult person. This event is the major fundraiser for the parish.

Live and silent auctions, live country music, lots of good food and refreshments are part of the evening's celebration.

Musical entertainment featuring Sherri Farley on hammered dulcimer and Bubba's Country Band will entertain those attending throughout the evening.

Col. Gene Warrington will call the live auction.

There will be a raffle to augment the auction fundraiser, and the tickets will cost $10 each. Prizes are $1,000 first place; $250 second place; and $100 third place.

The raffle drawing will be held during the auction festivities and the winner need not be present.
