Animal shelter to host its first Jewelry Faire Saturday

Anderson Animal Shelter is hosting its first Jewelry Faire from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Baker Memorial Church, Route 64 and Fourth Avenue, downtown St. Charles.

More than 2,000 pieces of jewelry will be for sale, with all proceeds benefiting the shelter. This sale will feature new, antique, costume and fine jewelry.

With a suggested donation of $5 at the door, attendees can shop through rows of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings, pins and watches. There will also be the opportunity to win raffle prizes.

For details on the Jewelry Faire, call Kathy Melone at (847) 697-2880, ext. 33, or e-mail kmelone@ andersonanimalshelter.org.

The shelter provides temporary housing to about 3,400 homeless or abandoned companion animals annually. It is committed not only to providing shelter to animals that are in need, but to eliminating the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals.
