Dogs must never be left in a hot vehicle
I am always shocked when I see people leaving their dogs in locked cars during the summer months. Just recently the temperature was 85 degrees and I went shopping at our local Dominick's and heard a dog barking.
I walked over to the car and noticed a beagle barking in the back seat. The front window was open three inches, as if that would be enough to cool off the car.
Please let your readers know that cars heat up very quickly and the interior heat is often deadly, and a dog can die waiting for you to come back with your milk and eggs. It is a slow and painful death that the owners don't understand.
