Elgin

• A Geneva man was accused of calling in a fraudulent prescription Wednesday to an east side pharmacy, police said. Robert J. Manny, 34, of 721 Illinois St., was charged with unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance after he was arrested carrying hydrocodone and carisoprodel. Manny has a Sept. 24 court date.

Kane County

• A $1,000 laptop computer was stolen from a residence on the 34W900 block of Clyde Parkway in St. Charles Township between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 26.

• Two DVD players valued at $300 were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 7N100 block of Lancaster Road in St. Charles Township between Monday and Thursday.

• A trailer was stolen from a business on the 14N600 block of Route 25 in Dundee Township between Friday and Thursday.

St. Charles

• David A. Chambers II, 30, of 243 Heritage Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 4:45 a.m. Sept. 1 on the 100 block of Walnut Drive and charged with failure to report a property damage vehicle accident. He is accused of crashing a car into a brick pillar at Zylstra Harley-Davidson, 131 S. Randall Road. Chambers was released on $1,000 bond with a Sept. 20 court date.

• A DVD player was stolen between Sept. 1 and Monday from a car at Don McCue Chevrolet, 2015 E. Main St. A window and dashboard valued at $800 total were damaged in the burglary.

• A personal data assistant valued at $800 and two cameras valued at $1,100 were stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from a vehicle on the 1300 block of Rita Avenue.

• A purse, wallet and pair of sunglasses valued at $500 total were stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from a vehicle on the 1600 block of South 13th Avenue.

• A building on the 1600 block of Indiana Street was shot with paintballs about 8:51 p.m. Wednesday.

• A doorknob and deadbolt valued at $150 total were damaged Wednesday at an apartment building on the 1900 block of Wessel Court.
