Lofts within walking distance of Chicago's Union Station

Construction is under way at 565 Quincy, a loft/condo high-rise near Union Station.

Belgravia, the developer, already has 90 sales at the high-rise. When complete, 565 Quincy will include 54 lofts -- base priced from $265,000 to $450,000 -- and 187 new construction condominium apartments, priced from $209,000 to $450,000.

The building will include 35 floor plans, including junior one-bedroom, one-bedroom, and two- bedroom plans.

Initial occupancy at 565 Quincy is scheduled for August 2008. In addition to being a block from Union Station, residents also will have ready access to the metro Chicago expressway system, with the Eisenhower (I-290) just a few minutes away.

But residents of 565 Quincy will find plenty to do close to home. The legendary Lou Mitchell's restaurant is across the street, and the area also has a convenience grocery store, health club and coffee shops.

The Chicago River is nearby, as is Chicago Kent Law School and the Sears Tower. And Chicago's Greektown, home to many restaurants, is within walking distance.

The building's lower level is being remodeled into the Q Room, an indoor clubhouse for adults that will include a bowling alley, kitchen, pool tables and movie screening room.

A furnished model is available in the sales center, open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment. The sales center is on the east side of Jefferson Street, just north of Jackson.
