Township Republicans to host annual picnic

Dundee Township Republican Central Committee

The Dundee Township Republican Central Committee Inc. is hosting its 14th annual Republican Family Picnic Sunday at the Max Freeman Memorial Park, Third and North streets in East Dundee. The event begins at 11 a.m., with lunch served at noon. State Rep. Ruth Munson will be the keynote speaker.

The annual celebration is open to the public with an all-you-can-eat lunch. Additionally, there are games and prizes for both children and adults, as well as a jump elephant ride. Door prize drawings begin at 2 p.m.

This year's theme is "Honoring Our Veterans and Those in Service to Our Nation." A brief service by a local Color Guard will commemorate the sacrifices of our soldiers and their families. Many Illinois candidates for state, local and other races plan to attend to meet the voters.

Tickets are a $10 donation per person, available in advance or at the event. Children younger than 3 years old are free. For details, call Margaret Scalfaro at (847) 428-1875.
