Two blood drives on tap in Bartlett

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Church, 751 Army Trail Road, Bartlett. Double red cell donations will be available.

Walk-ins will b welcome. A photo ID is required. An eight-week interval is required between donations, with a 16-week interval between double red cell donations. For more information, call Steve Klein at (630) 222-6166.

Support the troops with a car wash

Clerk Brian P. McGuire and Highway Commissioner P. Craig Ochoa, in cooperation with the Cook County Sheriff's Office Work Alternative Program, will hold a car wash to benefit Operation Support Our Troops from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Hanover Township, 250 S. Route 59, Bartlett.

There is no charge, but donations will be accepted. Checks should be made payable to Operation Support Our Troops of Illinois.
