If your child has star quality, mall contest may be a match
Does your child have a delightful personality? Don't miss the New Star Search Regional at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Macy's wing at Spring Hill Mall, routes 31 and 72 in West Dundee. Registration starts at noon.
Boys and girls are invited to participate in the following age divisions: newborn to 7 months, 8-14 months, 15-23 months, 24-35 months, 3-4 years old, 5-6 years old and 7-8 years old. Boys do not compete against girls in the age divisions.
They are looking for natural appearance and personality. Children wearing makeup will be unable to participate.
A child will be selected from each age division and awarded a trophy, a crown for the girls and a medallion for the boys, their entry fee paid to the advanced level of the state finals.
The main event entry fee is $50. There are also eight optional categories to enter at $5 per category.
