Help New Orleans

Global Hope, a nonprofit aid organization in Downers Grove, is hosting a roadhouse jam benefit for New Orleans musicians, from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at FitzGerald's, 6615 Roosevelt Road, Berwyn. Proceeds will be used to help rebuild Deslondes Street in the city's Lower 9th Ward. Show headliners include Walt Cunningham and One Accord with the Dartmouth College Gospel Choir, singer-songwriter Lauren Frost, Chicago soul singer Nicholas Barron and more. Tickets are $30. Sabbath for kids

"Image Counts: Making the Most of Your Visual Impact" is the subject of this month's free music forum hosted by the Chicago Cultural Center. Learn how a band can present its image online and in print from a panel of experts including rock photographer Paul Natkin and Marc Lipkin, publicity manager of Alligator Records.
