Flying high

A wing walker, fighter jets and sky divers will be all part of a free air show Saturday at the Waukegan Airport.

Gates to the sixth annual Waukegan Air Show will open at 10 a.m. The actual air show starts at 1 p.m. and will end at about 3:30 p.m.

Featured will the Dave Dacy Wing Walker act, the Sky Knights Sky Diving Team, and performances by the T-28 Trojan Horsemen, the L-39 Hoppers and other aerobatic teams.

Also scheduled are the Wisconsin Air National Guard F-16 "Fighting Falcons," a F-86 "Sabre" and three P-51 "Mustangs."

Free Young Eagles rides will be given to kids 8 to 17 from 9 a.m. to noon. In addition, visitors can view up close several examples of military and production aircraft.

Admission is free and food will be available for purchase.

The airport is located at 3580 N. Mcaree Road in Waukegan.
