Better days ahead for School Dist. 10

I have wondered what is going to happen to our Itasca 10 School District with the acceptance of Superintendent Ken Cull's resignation (to retire after the upcoming school year) and the combativeness of Jim McCann on the school board. Would the board be able to function with the added burden of finding a superintendent and the antics of a particular board member?

However, I have heard Mr. McCann had decided to take his crayons and go home. He has resigned from the board. What could be better for the board than an announcement like that? Now the board and Dr. Cull can carry on their responsibilities with the important business of maintaining our kids' scholastic advantage over other districts.

On a personal level, I am sure Mr. McCann is a nice man and a great father, etc. However, as a team member I observed he was a hindrance, focused on personality squabbles rather than the focus on our kids.

I believe Dr. Cull, along with the board, now that the nemesis of the board will be leaving, can focus on our kids. I am sure Mr. McCann's departure is best for his family. I know it's the best for the function of our school board.
