The Scene is place to be Saturday
Students can reverse the end-of-summer blues by chilling out with their friends at The Scene. The back-to-school event showcases scenes from the lifestyle of trendy teens complete with contests, prizes and goodies.
The Scene will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday in Center Court at Spring Hill Mall, routes 31 and 72 in West Dundee. Teens are invited to register for The Scene at the entrance to the event in Center Court. Those who register will be eligible to receive special offers and prizes from participating retailers.
Meet Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, the world's greatest PC gamer. He has dominated competitions across the globe and is a three-time Cyberathlete Professional League Champion of the Year, earning each victory in a different game. Joining Fatal1ty at "The Scene" will be newly signed Italian player Alessandro "Stermy" Avallone. In 2001, Stermy was the youngest player to participate in the World Cyber Games. He has continued to build his skills and is now considered one of the top 1-on-1 players in Europe. Currently, Stermy is the fourth ranked player in the world.
Girls' Life Magazine will have fashion consultants and personal shoppers from their fashion partners on site to help girls get their back-to-school look perfect.
Stop by the PAYjr Visa Buxx photo lab to take pictures with friends. Also, enter to win a Nintendo Wii or an iPod Nano.
