Naturalists invite seniors on forest stroll

Seniors are invited to join Kane County Forest Preserve District naturalists on a Senior Stroll from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Campton Forest Preserve located on Town Hall Road, approximately 6 miles west of Randall Road in St. Charles.

During the guided walk, naturalists Ben Katzen and Erica Lemon will interpret the natural history and ecology of this 330-acre site. Fall wildflowers will be in full bloom in the prairie and woodlands, and there will be hints of color in the trees. They also will be on the look-out for migrating birds and other wildlife. Light refreshments and social time will follow the walk. Bring your own coffee mug to help conserve resources.
