Spring Grove man dies from injuries in car wash wall collapse
A Spring Grove man died Friday from injuries suffered when a Wrigleyville car wash wall collapsed on him during last month's storm, officials said Saturday.
Alec Drews, 21, was critically injured Aug. 23 when a part of a car wash wall on the corner of Clark Street and Waveland Avenue fell and hit him, officials said.
The Chicago Cubs -- who own the building -- released a statement about the incident. Cubs President John McDonough visited with the family while Drews was hospitalized and was working with the family, the statement said.
The car wash has since been removed.
