It's been awhile since Driscoll has played Spring Valley Hall.

The Highlanders didn't allow time for much catching up.

Leading 28-0 at halftime and initiating a running clock in the third quarter, Driscoll beat host Hall 41-0 in Spring Valley.

Driscoll (2-0) won the rubber match against Hall; they beat the Red Devils in the 1991 playoffs and lost to them in the 1996 postseason.

On Friday Tim Franken gave Driscoll a 7-0 lead on a 5-yard run plus the Brett Warren kick.

The Highlanders exploded in the second quarter.

Franken, who gained 99 yards on 9 carries, scored on a 15-yard run, then Joey Calabrese scored on a 54-yard punt return to make it 21-0. The Highlanders ended the half up 28-0 on quarterback David Schwabe's 13-yard run.

Driscoll made quick work of the second half.

Schwabe hit Austin Baker on a 31-yard touchdown pass, then his brother Steve scored on a 3-yard run to make it 41-0 in the third quarter.

David Schwabe completed 8 of 12 passes for 143 yards. Main target Baker caught 4 passes for 75 yards. The defense allowed just 28 yards passing, 168 yards total.
