Carpentersville

• A man fired a gun at or near a group of people at 12:04 a.m. Friday at the Fox View Apartment Complex. Three people were taken to Sherman Hospital with non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident, police said. The three were treated and released, police said. Carpentersville police ask anyone with information to contact them at (847) 551-3481.

• A Carpentersville woman was accused of possessing fake IDs at 9:15 a.m. Thursday on Lake Marian Road, police said. Lorena Lara, 21, of 72 Alameda Drive, was charged with two counts of possession of fraudulent identification, police said. Lara posted a $500 bond Friday. Her court date is Sept. 12 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Elgin

• An Elgin teen was accused of stealing two dogs at 8 p.m. Thursday man on the 300 block of Douglas Avenue, police said. Francisco Suarez, 18, of 472 Ann St., was charged with theft, police said. Suarez was held in the Kane County jail on $750 bond with a Sept. 14 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• A Chicago man was arrested Thursday on an outstanding warrant, police said. Leotis Lewis, 34, of 6712 N. Bosworth, Apt. C, was charged on the warrant with theft, police said. Lewis was held in the Kane County jail on $10,000 bond with a Sept. 7 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
