The far greater offense is abortion
Recent events have prompted these comments. Thirty-five years in the struggle against the violence of abortion has affected my respect for all life. Mothers, since the ill-conceived Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton, now have total control over whether a child lives or is murdered in a brutal manner during their first nine months of life.
What, other than murder, could any fair-minded person call the tearing apart of a human being piece by piece, as is the case with D & C and D & E abortions?
It amazes me to see the same people who recoil at the horror of the Michael Vick story, are perfectly all right with the cowardly and brutality shown to a fellow human through abortion on demand. What hypocrisy and flawed thinking this shows. Where is our sense of values? While upsetting pictures are shown on television of the abuse of these animals, little compassion is shown to right-to-lifers who stand on the streets with the reality of what abortion does "to the least of our brothers."
I wonder about those who deny the Nazi holocaust. "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it." Sadly some of the same people who rightfully refuse to let these horrific memories die, themselves ignore the present day holocaust of over 47 million innocents through abortion. Where is their sense of justice and compassion? God help us as America continues on its path of little respect for life, both man and animal.
