Women's golf outing will help build Sherman Hospital birthing center

The Sherman Hospital Auxiliary will host its first Labor of Love women's golf outing on Sept. 19 at Randall Oaks Golf Course in West Dundee.

Proceeds from the outing will go toward the auxiliary's pledge to the Women's Birthing Center at the new hospital under construction.

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost is $125 per golfer and includes golf, cart rental, continental breakfast, lunch and prizes.

The golf format will be a scramble. Golf contests on the course, including a hole-in-one contest, are part of the outing. McGrath Nissan in Elgin will provide a 2007 vehicle as the prize for the hole-in-one contest.

In addition, for non-golfers a Women's Day Out with Spa also will be offered. Spa services will be provided by Karena's Spa and Salon, and can be scheduled in advance.

Lunch will be included for spa package. To register, or for information on sponsorship opportunities, call Colleen Colligan at (847) 697-7886 or Diane Mason at (847) 695-1682.
