United Way to launch campaign Sept. 17

The United Way of Central Kane County and its dedicated volunteers announce the $550,000 goal for this year to support 27 local agencies and its 44 programs. The annual campaign kick off breakfast is scheduled for Sept. 17, with a continental breakfast complements of the Colonial Café at 1625 East Main, in St. Charles, at 8 a.m. The 2007-08 campaign theme is Creating Lasting Change.

Ninety-four percent of the dollars raised in the community remains in the community. "We are determined to make our ambitious goal so United Way can continue to create lasting change. Your United Way contribution is an investment in the quality of life in the Central Kane County area and is greatly appreciated," said Vice President of Campaign, Ken Harms.
