Des Plaines

•One man was treated for broken ribs and a collapsed lung after he fought in a gas station with another man over a woman Aug. 21, police said. Brian Kent Tchon, 44, 670 Jill Court, Des Plaines, and John Karl Muller, 44, 750 W. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, were arrested around 4:20 p.m. at 119 S. Elmhurst Road and charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. They crashed into display cases and broke merchandise, reports said. Tchon was treated at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge for his injuries. Muller was additionally charged with unlawful use of a weapon and battery after officers found him with brass knuckles, reports added. Their Skokie court date was set for Oct. 5.

•Kristian Lozada, 19, 1408 River Road, Des Plaines, was arrested around 8 p.m. Aug. 21 and charged with city ordinance minor consumption of alcohol after an officer saw him walking into a gas station washroom at 1733 Oakton Street and found a half-empty 22-ounce bottle of beer in front of the door, police said. According to reports, he was intoxicated and admitted the bottle of beer belonged to him. His Skokie court date was set for Sept. 11.

Elk Grove Village

•A window was smashed out of a 1991 Mazda MX6 between 5 p.m. Aug. 19 and 9:10 p.m. Aug. 21 while it was parked on the 600 block of Touhy Avenue. The damage was estimated at $500.

•A 1999 Toyota Camry was vandalized with spray paint between 8 p.m. Aug. 20 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 21 while it was parked on the 200 block of University Lane. The damage was estimated at $500.
