Elgin Township accepting grant applications

Elgin Township Supervisor Annette Miller recently announced that Elgin Township is accepting applications for Social Service Miscellaneous Project Grants.

These grants help youth, senior, poor, recreational, developmentally disabled and mental health services for Elgin Township residents.

A pool of $125,000 in funds is available. Applications may be picked up at 729 S. McLean Blvd., Elgin, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., or downloaded from the Web site at elgintownship.com.

Final deadline for applications will be Sept. 28. Personal presentations are not required. Review and selection of grant applicants will take place in October.

Grant recipients will be notified in November. Funding will be available Dec. 15. For details, call (847) 741-2045.
