Ferrell, Heder fall-over funny in 'Blades of Glory'

Will Ferrell was a member of the Los Angeles improvisation group the Groundlings, which included future cast members of "Saturday Night Live." His skits on the show were funny, but Ferrell is best known for his impersonations of famous people, especially George Bush.

Ferrell starred on "SNL" for seven years, then left in 2002 for a career in movies. His films have grossed more than 1 billion dollars, and they include "A Night at the Roxbury," "Old School," "Elf," "Zoolander," "Superstar," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "Bewitched," "Winter Passing," "The Producers," "Curious George," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Blades of Glory."

"Blades of Glory" . .. (2007, Paramount, 93 minutes, Rated PG-13, $29.99)

Will Ferrell stars as figure skater Chazz Michael Michaels, who has a chance at a gold medal at the Olympics. His bitter rival, Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder), also wants the medal, and they end up in a fight that results in both skaters being banned for life from the men's competition.

A few years later, Coach (Craig T. Nelson) gets the idea to put Chazz and Jimmy together as pairs skaters. They put their differences behind them for the sake of winning the gold medal. Stranz and Fairchild Van Waldenberg (Will Arnett and Amy Poehler) rule the sport, and do everything in their power to make sure the duo has troubles.

Ferrell and Heder have good chemistry, and you'll enjoy the famous skaters who make cameo appearances as well as the film's sight gags.
