Buffalo Grove

•Burglars smashed a window and stole a GPS unit between 7 and 9 p.m. Monday out of a 2003 Toyota 4Runner parked at St. Mary's Church/School, 70 Buffalo Grove Road, police said. Damage and value were estimated at $650.

•Thieves stole a boys silver bike between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday left unlocked at a bike rack at Buffalo Grove High School, 1100 W. Dundee Road, police said. Value was estimated at $80.

•Vandals removed mail out of a mailbox, left it there and then set the mailbox on fire around 9 p.m. Monday at a home on the 300 block of Hill Court West, police said. Damage was estimated at $75.
