Class teaches kids about theater, acting

"Cathy's Creative Kids Club" classes will be offered at several local schools and park districts. The classes are a 10-week program where students meet weekly after school or in the evenings to learning about the theater. Students pick a play and audition for parts and everyone gets a speaking role. Each student participates in a committee that works on props, costumes, publicity or sets. •Registration for students in third and fourth grade that attend Avon School, Meadowview School, Prairieview School, Woodview School or Park School in Grayslake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Frederick School. Class will be held at Avon school each week.

•Registration for students in fifth and sixth grade Frederick school or Park School in Grayslake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Frederick School, 595 Frederick Road, Grayslake. Class will be held at Frederick school each week.

•Registration for students in third through fifth grade that attend Oakland Elementary School, W.C. Petty Elementary School or Antioch Elementary School will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oakland Elementary School, 22018 W. Grass Lake Road, Antioch.

•Classes will be offered at Emmons School in Antioch for kindergartners through eighth-graders. Registration will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Emmons School, 24226 West Beach Grove Road, Antioch.
