Free health care idea is beyond absurd
Many Americans have fallen prey to the idea that they have a right to free health care. These individuals believe this new entitlement should be provided by either the state or the federal government. I find this concept absurd.
Our Declaration of Independence clearly states we have a right to "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." This proclamation does not translate to a right to free health insurance. In fact, the whole premise of this debate is misleading and false.
There is no such thing as free health care. Everything of value has a cost. The question is, who should be required to pay this cost? The individual who created the bill or his fellow Americans?
Do we want a society based on rugged individualism and personal responsibility or do we want a sense of collectivism enforced by high taxation and more government regulation?
