•Burglars smashed the front driver's-side window and stole a satellite radio, checkbook, and possibly other items Aug. 16 out of a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe parked in a lot at Grove Medical Center, 4160 Route 83, police said. Damage and value estimates were not available.
Buffalo Grove
•Someone cut two passenger's-side tires between 9:45 p.m. Aug. 21 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 22 on a 1999 Dodge Durango parked in a residential lot on the 2500 block of Waterbury Lane, police said. Damage was estimated at $500.
Wheeling
•Ana Karen Gonzalez, 18, and Celene Gonzalez, 19, both of 20666 N. Margaret, Lincolnshire, were arrested around 8:45 p.m. Aug. 20 and charged with battery and mob action after Celene punched a 17-year-old Prospect Heights girl in the face and Ana kicked her in the back in an apartment parking lot on the 300 block of Inland Drive, police said. Their Rolling Meadows court date was set for Sept. 12.
•Vandals spray painted gang graffiti with black paint on an unknown date but reported Aug. 20 on an exterior wall at the former Kmart building, 780 W. Dundee Road, police said. A damage estimate was not available.
•Thieves stole a scooter between 7 and 8 p.m. Aug. 21 parked outside the Indian Trails Library, 355 Schoenbeck Road, police said. Value was estimated at $75.
•Burglars smashed the rear passenger's-side vent window and stole a designer purse between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 18 out of a 2001 Mercedes parked in a store lot at 903 W. Dundee Road, police said. Damage and value were estimated at $1,800.
•A burglar wearing a hooded jacket smashed the front passenger's-side window and stole a GPS unit and radar detector around 3:35 a.m. Aug. 23 out of a 2007 Volkswagen GTI parked at a home on the 600 block of Prestwick, police said. Value was estimated at $750.
