Lindenhurst woman killed in Ohio crash
A Lindenhurst woman was killed and her husband injured after an Ohio car accident involving a dump truck.
Marion L. Hoover, 54, was a front-seat passenger in a 2002 Ford Taurus driven by her husband Michael, 60, in the crash near Bucyrus, Ohio Thursday, Crawford County sheriff's office officials said Sunday.
Police were called to the crash at the intersection of Spore Brandywine and Bethel roads just before 5 p.m., officials said. Marion was flown to St. Vincent's hospital in Toledo where she later died, police said.
An ambulance took Michael Hoover to a Bucyrus, Ohio, emergency room where he was treated for his injuries and later released, police said.
The driver of the 2006 Sterling dump truck, Mark Stewart, 46, of Mansfield, Ohio was not injured, police said.
Funeral services for Hoover will be held in Nevada, Ohio, at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home, the funeral home's Web site said.
Hoover was born and raised in Bucyrus and was a devoted member of Heritage Lutheran in Lindenhurst, the Web site says.
Hoover leaves behind her husband, daughter, son, granddaughter and two sisters, according to the Web site.
The crash is under investigation by the Crawford County sheriff's office.
